From my recent discussions with quantity surveyors I know firsthand just how time consuming comparing different masonry support packages can be. As a quantity surveyor, making informed decisions about masonry support packages is crucial for both cost-effectiveness and structural integrity, and our specially designed Masonry Support Comparison Spreadsheet will be an invaluable tool to aid you in this process. This guide will walk you through the steps to effectively use the spreadsheet, compare supplier packages, and ultimately benefit your projects.

Understanding the Spreadsheet Structure

The spreadsheet comprises of two main sections:

  • Summary: offers a comparative overview of different suppliers and their pricing structures, comparing details such as average price per metre to allow you to make a data informed decision.
  • Data sheet: where you input detailed data of different masonry support packages from various suppliers.

Input Supplier Data

Switch to the "Data Sheet" tab and input the data from different suppliers including prices, support levels, and other relevant specifications. Make sure you only use the columns provided. Options for some columns have been preselected.
